Michael Africa talked about surviving a robbery and carjacking attempt right out front of his own business only to be unjustly imprisoned for defending himself and taking a life in the process. Mike talked about being at his lowest and upon his release from prison resorting to a criminal mind before turning his life around and becoming legit. Owning several businesses, engaging in community activism, and now has a book entitled “America Upside Down” which is being adapted into a movie and has won 3rd place in the Greater Cleveland Film Festival @gcff
and a podcast “The Love Offering” where he’s addressing societal ills with a feverish passion to uplift Black people.
