Rapper Ja Rule Released From Federal Prison Early
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Federal authorities say platinum-selling rapper Ja Rule has left federal prison.
The bureau says the release date for the 36-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, technically remains July 28, with possible community-based supervision for the balance.
TMZ reports his wife picked him up and that he'll remain in home confinement until then.
Ja Rule had served most of a two-year sentence for illegal gun possession in a New York state prison before his release in February and subsequent transfer into federal custody in the tax evasion case.
He admitted failing to pay taxes on more than $3 million earned between 2004 and 2006.
Frank Ocean, Chris Brown Brawl: Homophobic Slur Involved
During his brawl last week with Chris Brown, someone called Frank Ocean a "faggot." This, according to the the official police report the singer filed.
According to the report, obtained by TMZ, the fight began after Ocean approached Brown about taking his parking spot at Westlake Studios.
Brown then tried shaking Ocean's hand, but Ocean refused the offer and again told him he was in his spot.

Ocean says he heard someone use the word "faggot" during the fight, but wasn't sure who it was. It could have been Brown.
In private, he told police that he wants to see Brown in jail.
Kim Kardashian's Pregnancy to Be Featured on Reality TV Show, Kanye's Family 'Shocked'
Though news of her pregnancy has only just been revealed, Kanye West s baby's-mother-to-be Kim Kardashian is already dishing about the trials of her upcoming motherhood.
"I wouldn't say that it's been easy," she revealed during a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas. "When people say pregnancy is fun and they love it, I would have to disagree. It's not as easy as people think. It is, you know, a little painful. There's a lot of growing pains."
In typical fashion, the reality TV star's pregnancy will be captured for her show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
"Like so many Kardashian fans, we love it when this close-knit family gets even bigger," E! President Suzanne Kolb explained. "We look forward to sharing the joy as they prepare for more diapers, more bottle and without a doubt, more fabulous baby wear."
Meanwhile, Kanye's family said that they were "shocked" by the news of the pregnancy, which was revealed to them the day after Christmas.
"Kanye flew in the day after Christmas without Kim to tell us the news. When he told us, the family was silent. We were all kind of shocked," the rapper's cousin, Tony Williams, said.
After ringing in the New Year at a club in Las Vegas, the couple were spotted on a trip to Pinkberry in Los Angeles.
Hillary Clinton Recovering At Home After Minor Concussion
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary
After contracting a stomach virus on a trip to Europe, the former First Lady became dehydrated and struck her head upon falling down. The concussion was diagnosed last Thursday (Dec. 13), CNN reports.
The incident will keep Clinton working from home while being monitored by her doctors. The Secretary of State has also forgone to testify before Congress this week regarding the September attack on the American diplomatic outpost consulate that killed two Navy Seals and U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. Two deputy secretaries of state will testify in Clinton's place.
"At their recommendation, she will continue to work from home next week, staying in regular contact with Department and other officials," said Phillipe Reines, deputy assistant secretary of state. "She is looking forward to being back in the office soon."
Clinton remains in the public's discussion as a potential 2016 presidential candidate, and plans to step down as Secretary of State in 2013.
Wiz Khalifa 'O.N.I.F.C.': Rapers Discusses Music, Marriage & Fatherhood
ATLANTA (AP) - Rapper Wiz Khalifa says preparation for becoming a first-time father and husband has helped put him in a more mature musical state of mind.
But that doesn't mean Khalifa will refrain from his weed-smoking, rock star-like ways.
"I'm at a different point in my life," said Khalifa, whose sophomore album, "O.N.I.F.C.," debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's 200 albums chart this week with 141,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen Scan.
"I just want to say things a little bit differently and express myself on another level on the album," he continued. "I have new responsibilities, but I'm always going to smoke weed and enjoy myself. My son is going to love me for the same reasons others do. I'm not just going to turn into some old fart."
For the 25-year-old Khalifa, life is just getting started. He and his fiancee, Amber Rose who is in the third trimester of her pregnancy, are expected to get married at a courthouse in a few weeks.
Khalifa said he and Rose - an ex-girlfriend of Kanye West - want to marry before the birth of their son. He said they will hold a traditional wedding ceremony later with family and friends.
"There's a lot of excitement going on," the Pittsburg-based rapper said. "I just worked my (butt) off and tried to be better every day. I've just tried to move forward naturally."
Rose, a model and rapper, appears on Khalifa's new album. It also features Pharrell, 2 Chainz and the Weeknd, who appears on the current single "Remember You." The first single, "Work Hard, Play Hard," is a platinum Top 20 hit.
While the album is finally out, Khalifa and his record label, Atlantic Records, initially struggled over the creative process for "O.N.I.F.C.," which stands for "Only N-word in First Class."
He said his label wanted him to focus on producing big hits, similar to his omnipresent jam "Black and Yellow," which skyrocketed to the top of charts and helped previous album, "Rolling Papers," sell nearly 200,000 copies in the first week last year and eventually reach gold status.
Khalifa felt otherwise, saying there was a lack of communication between himself and label executives.
"I had less freedom to be creative, but it's all about communication," he said. "Business-wise, people want to compare. That's the main thing you have to get over. "
Khalifa calls the experience a test.
"You're either going to let it destroy you, be bigger than you or you be bigger than it," he said.
"You have to go through conflict and disagreement. You can't shut down. You have to really be about your business, your money. If you quit, the label is not. They're going to keep going and make money. You do, too."
Nicki Minaj Shows Her Tardy Side in 'My Truth'
Nicki Minaj is starring in her own reality television special -- and her life is just bizarre enough to make the show fascinating.
The "Starships" creator agreed to let cameras follow her around for 21 days, and the result is a three-part series that will air on E! beginning this Sunday (Nov. 4) at 10:30PM.
Subject matter includes her upcoming world tour, her perfume launch and the release of the new edition of her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up.
The "American Idol" judge even dishes about the rumor-laden drama between her and fellow judge Mariah Carey.
"Ain't nobody gonna run me off that motherfuckin' show, playboy," Minaj promises. Despite this swaggering promise, the star gets a little reflective too.
"I'm definitely my own worst critic. I don't get the chance to set the record straight about a lot of things," she said.
T-Boz, Reality Show: TLC Singer Will Document Career, Personal Life in 'Totally T-Boz'

The network has reportedly ordered four episodes of the show, which will be entitled "Totally T-Boz" and is set to air sometime in 2013. This news comes at the ideal time for Watkins, who filed for bankruptcy in 2011, despite the fact that TLC is the second best-selling female group overall and the best-selling female R&B group ever.
Sources claim the show will focus on Tionne, 42, as a single mom living in Atlanta while simultaneously trying to jump-start her fading music career. No word yet on whether or not fellow TLC member Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas will appear on the show. The third TLC member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was tragically killed in a car accident in 2002.
T-Boz and Chilli said earlier this year that they plan to release new material as a duo.
In 2006, T-Boz was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor. After it was removed, she had to re-learn how to walk and talk, and perhaps, sing.
Tune in to TLC next year to see what one-third of TLC has been up to since the '90s.
